The Michigan Gaming Control Board reported $240.6 million in gross online casino revenue for June on Tuesday, capping a fiscal year of tremendous growth in the vertical.
Gross operator winnings were up 31.3% from last year, while the $226 million in adjustable gross revenue represented a 37.3% increase from June 2024. All but one operator had their promotional deduction percentage reduced four points to 6% at the start of 2025.
The state claimed $47.1 million in taxes, while another $11.8 million was re-directed to Detroit city coffers. Tribal disbursements totaled $5.8 million for the second consecutive month.
The $2.75 billion in gross revenue generated by the state’s 15 platforms for the completed Fiscal Year 2025 was up 28.1%, while the $2.54 billion AGR was an increase of 31%. The $396.3 million in state tax receipts collected was $125.4 million more than FY 2024.
The $133 million in taxes sent to Detroit was up $33.4 million, while the $63 million in tribal disbursements over the past 12 months was an increase of $14.4 million.
FanDuel and BetMGM continue ongoing battle for top spot
FanDuel Casino and BetMGM have alternated months throughout the first half of the year as the biggest revenue generator in the Wolverine State, and June marked FanDuel’s turn atop the list with $62.3 million. That was up 36.7% from 12 months ago and marked the online titan’s seventh consecutive month with at least $60 million in gross winnings.
BetMGM also has a seven-month streak after claiming $60.3 million, a year-over-year increase of 25.9%. FanDuel holds a narrow lead of $118,466 in year-to-date revenue with $388.4 million. Its 30.9% increase outpaces the 28.4% growth reported by BetMGM.
Three platforms reported all-time monthly highs, with BetRivers tops among that trio at $18.1 million, a 47.3% year-over-year surge. It was also just enough to edge the Rush Street platform over $100 million for the year by $637,415.
Fanatics Casino had its second straight month with an eight-figure haul at $12.1 million, more than tripling its June 2024 figure. PENN Entertainment posted a $7.5 million haul through its tether to Detroit-based Greektown Casino.
The $130.2 million in revenue from the three platforms tethered to Detroit casinos was up 34.1% from last year and outpaced the 28.1% bounce from their tribal counterparts to $110.4 million. The $19.8 million spread between the two, however, represented a low for 2025.

Much of Michigan’s online casino revenue originates from seven operators: FanDuel, BetMGM, DraftKings, BetRivers, Caesars Palace Online, Fanatics Casino, and Golden Nugget Online. While FanDuel, BetMGM, and DraftKings are cut-and-dried as the top three platforms, the gains made by the other four have been pivotal in double-digit percentage gains for both 2025 year-to-date and FY 2025 versus FY 2024.
Interestingly, DraftKings was the biggest laggard in June despite a haul of $38.7 million. The 19% increase from last year was the lightest among of the group of seven, and its year-to-date total of $228.7 million is up only 4.2% from the first six months of 2024. This year’s revenue figure has been dragged down by a $9.28 million payout on a progressive slot in February, knocking down DraftKings’ FY2025 growth to 11.2% at $463.8 million.
By comparison, the other six operators all had at least 24.4% fiscal-year growth. Fanatics’ overhaul of its online casino product has contributed to a 223.6% spike in FY 2025 revenue to $91.7 million which is in line with year-over-year (204.6%) and year-to-date (221.1%) growth.
Though Caesars Palace failed to reach $16 million in revenue for a sixth consecutive month — June’s total was $14.5 million — it still posted fiscal year-growth of 58.2% to $177.9 million as year-to-date revenue climbed 44.6% to $96.7 million. Golden Nugget reached eight figures in back-to-back months for just the second time with a $10.7 million take, up 21.7% from June 2024. Its five months with $10 million-plus winnings have all occurred in the last seven months.
