For the first time ever, the gang from Friends can win you some serious money, as the slot game Friends: The One With the Multi Drop has debuted on BetMGM Casino.

Could this be any more exciting for the Venn diagram of real-money online casino players and fans of the beloved sitcom?

Done in partnership with London-based Atlantic Digital, this marks the first official online slot title to feature Rachel, Ross, Monica, Chandler, Joey, and Phoebe. Unlike Ross’ infamous “We were on a break!” situation, this collaboration is in it for the long haul.

“Friends is one of the most iconic and beloved television shows of all time. Bringing it to life in an interactive casino format has been both a privilege and a creative challenge,” Sam Hobcraft, CEO of Atlantic Digital, said in a statement. “Our mission is to merge world-class entertainment IP with innovative gameplay, and Friends: The One With the Multi Drop is a perfect example of that. We’re thrilled to partner with BetMGM to deliver this exclusive experience to players in the U.S.”

The game is available in New Jersey and Michigan — how you doin’, New Jersey and Michigan? — with other states to follow.

“BetMGM is proud to be the first to bring Friends to iGaming and offer players a new way to engage with the familiar sights and sounds of the show,” Oliver Bartlett, vice president of gaming at BetMGM, said in a statement. “Atlantic Digital recognizes the nostalgia and captivating moments of the best television and movie IP and truly brings them to life for iGaming.”

The game features all six characters — along with the famous Central Perk couch and a lobster (if you know, you know) — in a 6×5 game where wins occur when eight of the same symbols appear anywhere on the board. After each win, the winning symbols disappear and new symbols cascade down. The spin ends when there aren’t eight winning symbols remaining.

Easy enough, unlike moving a couch.

A multiplier can randomly drop into the game, up to 200x your bet — bing! Four or more bonus symbols trigger the bonus round. The maximum win is 5000x the original wager, with a return to player (RTP) slightly under 95%.

This isn’t Atlantic Digital’s first foray into Gen X entertainment nostalgia. The company has previously created slots around Star Trek: The Next Generation, Ace Ventura, and Cheers — proving they know how to make entertainment franchises that are there for you.
