In past years, the gambling industry’s finest gathered in Secaucus, New Jersey, around this time of year for the annual SBC Summit Americas conference. This year, the conference is in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, a move that can be seen as a positive development on three fronts:

  1. It’s been raining in Jersey all week, whereas the Florida weather has been a delight.
  2. This location offers ease of access from Latin America, a major element of this conference.
  3. The Broward County Convention Center is roomy AF, meaning it feels less crowded -- and you get your steps in traversing the floor.

Here’s a sampling of the sights at the conference for those unable to attend.

A necessity at any industry conference: booze

This conference came complete with a batting cage, hoop, and hockey net (not in use in this photo because, of course, all conference attendees were busy working)
