New Jersey online casino operators didn’t come close to another revenue record in August, but they did manage something the state’s sportsbooks and the brick and mortar Atlantic City casinos couldn’t pull off: Finish the month ahead of last year.

On Wednesday, the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement reported $259.3 million in internet gaming win for August, a 4.4% increase from the $248.4 million collected in August 2025. That was down about 6.4% from July’s record-setting $276.9 million, but still extended the state’s streak of months above $250 million to 11.

Year-to-date online casino revenue now sits at $2.13 billion, up 13.2% from $1.88 billion through the first eight months of 2025. Internet gaming generated $57.7 million in taxes for August and $473.4 million for the year thus far.

The rest of the state’s gambling business had a rougher go of it in August. Atlantic City’s nine casinos won $294.9 million, down 5.5% year-over-year, while sports wagering revenue fell 25% to $61.4 million. The DGE attributed the sports betting decline mainly to a later start to the fall sports calendar, including college football, as well as a lower win percentage overall. Combined gaming revenue came to $615.7 million, down 4.1% from last August.

FanDuel tops the charts

FanDuel Casino remained atop the online casino standings with $56.7 million in August revenue, though that represented a slight 0.7% dip from the $57.1 million it won a year ago.

DraftKings remained in second at $43.5 million, down 7.5% year-over-year, while BetMGM continued to hold down third place with $35.1 million, an increase of 7.8%.

Borgata was next in August at $20.6 million, flat from last year, followed by Caesars Palace at $19.3 million, up 6.8%.

Hard Rock Bet collected $15.2 million, a 13.3% increase, while Fanatics continued to be one of the fastest-growing operators in the state. Its $13.1 million August haul was up 30.7% from last year, while its $106.4 million year-to-date total is up 100.6% through the same period in 2025.

Golden Nugget’s own online casino won $11.3 million in August, up 28.8% from last year, while BetRivers brought in $10.7 million, an increase of 28.1%.

Further down the standings, bet365 posted one of the biggest percentage gains among established operators, jumping 46.6% to $3.4 million. Resorts Casino was up 47.6% to $2.6 million, while Mohegan Sun increased 27.4% to $1.5 million.

The newer Caesars-affiliated brands also continued to put up small amounts of revenue, with Betinia at $1.1 million for August, Vegas Club Casino at $875,415, and Ember Casino at $591,981.
