Online Casino Operators Looking To Score With Soccer-Themed Slots
With World Cup soon to start, a slew of titles tied to the sport have dropped online

World Cup fever isn’t exactly gripping America. It’s more like … World Cup common cold.
Don’t believe me? Check out the data over at CivicScience, where 72% of Americans are either neutral or couldn’t care less about the worldwide soccer tournament hitting our shores (and those of Canada and Mexico) in a little over a week.
Well, give it time, we say. All we need is one American victory and next thing you know everyone will be competing to see how long they can hold the “oh” sound in “goooooooooooooooal!”
Meanwhile, America’s online casinos are trying to tap into the zeitgeist, as a flurry of soccer and World Cup-themed games have dropped in the lobbies over the past few weeks.
And while is it a little bit of a stretch to compare “soccer” with “sitting on your duff and playing slots,” we here at Casino Reports are nothing if not attempted completists. And so for the sake of posterity, here’s a (probably incomplete) rundown of new (or reintroduced) titles around the online casinosphere that are trying to capitalize on the World Cup action.
We counted no less than 15 soccer-themed games under the “new” section across a handful of casino sites:
Goal Goal Goal Collect ‘Em!: A 5×3 slot, with three types of bonus, standard fare.
TIm Howard’s Goal Line Fortune Pick: Tim Howard is apparently famous enough to have his own game, and this slot is more of a pick’em type thing, where you pick balls and if you win, you win. Or something like that.

Huff N’ Lots of Goals: Cross out “puff,” add “balls,” and presto-chango, the three little pigs and company are now a soccer game.
Slingoooal Shootout!: Slingo, but soccer. Cool.

World Soccer Grand Chance: Here, you get to pick your team, which basically puts the flag of your choice behind the otherwise standard 5×3 slot. You’re playing for a chance at the … uh, grand chance.
Kong Even Bigger Balls: Double entendres aside, this is the popular Kong title, 6×4 slot, with a chance for an “even bigger balls bonus” — their words, not ours.
Tim Howard’s Goalie Goal X Up: Howard is so famous, he gets two games. This one is a more traditional slot, 5×5 layout, with chances to “X up” your winning spins.
Goal Goal Goal Pachin Goal: This is apparently a pachinko-style game, which we spun four times and couldn’t figure out what was going on.
Soccer! Collect ‘Em: A 5×3 slot with a moving “collect ‘em” feature, where you can win money, spins, or dinner with Pele. (We may have made up that last one.)
Ultimate Goal: A 5×3 slot with a weirdly heavy metal soundtrack. For hooligans, perhaps?
Goal Goal Goal Mines: How much to bet, how many cards to flip over? Those are your decisions. Get a red card, you lose.
Goalinko: Basically Plinko, but with Barker’s Beauties.
JMania Goal Nations: A 3×3 slot. Not much else to say about that.
Back of the Net Connect & Collect: A 6×5 slot where you really want to connect to collect (we’re guessing).
Wolf It Up Again Soccer: Basically the Wolf It Up game but with, well, soccer balls.
World Cup fever, baby: Spin it!
