The 31-day month of March, during which sports betting customers tend to spend extra time on their apps and, in turn, tend to receive cross-marketing for online casino, is a candidate annually for massive iGaming revenue numbers in Michigan. And that was certainly the case this March, as the Michigan Gaming Control Board reported Monday that the state’s operators produced a record $322.1 million in gross receipts, about 2% higher than the previous record of $315.8 million set in December.
Adjusted gross receipts (AGR), with promotional expenses deducted, came to $309.1 million, which was up nearly 18% over February’s total and represented 25.6% growth over March 2025.
This resulted in $64.1 million in taxes and fees to the state for regulated iGaming, far outdistancing the $2.3 million produced by online sports wagering. The city of Detroit received an additional $15.4 million taxes for online casino, while tribal operators reported $8.2 million in disbursements for the month.
Michigan’s $309.1 million in AGR sets it apart somewhat from the other two top online casino states, as New Jersey reported $272.1 million in iCasino winnings in March, while Pennsylvania produced $254.7 million in adjusted gross revenue.
Gold, silver, and bronze
As usual, it was FanDuel Casino, then BetMGM Casino, then DraftKings Casino at the top of the heap in Michigan in March, though the separation between each of them is becoming more pronounced.
FanDuel, which is tethered to MotorCity Casino, scored $85.9 million in gross receipts and $82.4 million in AGR. BetMGM, tethered to MGM Grand Detroit, reported $71.5 million and $68.7 million in those two categories. And DraftKings, which partners with the Bay Mills Indian Community, tallied $40.1 million in gross receipts and $38.5 million in AGR.
While FanDuel and BetMGM enjoyed their highest revenue figures ever, DraftKings’ haul came up short of its January score and was lower than the AGR it posted in seven out of 12 months in 2025.
Among the next tier of operators, BetRivers continued to run fourth with $25.2 million in gross receipts, while Hard Rock Bet ($21.6 million) and Fanatics Casino ($21.5 million) have both moved ahead of former top-five operator Caesars ($18.3 million).
There will be a new entrant in the competition when April reporting comes in, as bet365 launched its online casino last week.
