Bally's Corporation Beats My Parents To My Birthday
Hats off to Bally's, as the company saw fit to pass along a tasty birthday bonus for this young scribe

As I sit typing this at 1:28 p.m. ET on Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2026, I would like to note that Bally Bet Casino and Monopoly Casino have both wished me a happy birthday before my parents have.
I’m not mad about it, just pointing it out.
In fact, I want to take this a step further and really, truly thank the Bally’s Corporation, which runs both of the above online sites here in my home state of New Jersey. They both dropped $19.71 in bonus money with a 1X playthrough into my accounts.
Why $19.71? Because that’s the year I was born, which makes me 37 years old today, the math checks out, don’t worry about it for one second.
But I gotta say: It’s a nice freaking gesture.
Now to be fair, I’m quite confident that the bonus money was put in there in an effort to get me to gamble more — after all, we do live in capitalist America — but still: A better birthday present I have yet to receive. (It’s now 1:33 p.m., Mom.)
So what did I do with this newfound (bonus) wealth? I was a good +EV boy with it, just playing $1 hands of blackjack until I was able to withdraw. All told, I pulled out $41, so huzzahs and back slaps all around.
I mean, I guess I could’ve gone hog wild with it, bought a few bonus rounds on “Huff N’ Puff: Des Moines” or whatever the latest title in that series is, but nope. I decided to just take the money and run. I mean, $41 buys me two DraftKings Milly Maker entries, so who knows where this story will end.
More???
Of course, being a good +EV boy, I started opening up all the gambling apps (well, at least the ones I haven’t been banned from, stories for another day) and checking my emails in an effort to see what other goodies the state’s sportsbooks and online casinos have waiting for me.
Here’s the full report: Caesars is offering me a free $5 bet … once I bet $100. Jackpocket, the lottery courier app, sent me an email wishing me a happy birthday.
And that’s that. Nothing from anyone else.
Which now makes me sad. It’s my party, and I’ll take my business to whichever multinational gambling corporation loves me most.
Kind of not even kidding here. I don’t normally punt off money in online casinos (and again, for those fact-checking from home, I’m 37) but next time I do … honestly, I’ll probably do it at Bally’s or Monopoly. They sent me free money for my birthday, after all.
Low-hanging fruit here, all you other multinational gambling corporations. Drop a few bonus bucks in everyone’s accounts on their birthdays, increase joy and goodwill, and maybe we’ll come back for more. Seems like a pretty good idea all around.
And not for nothing, but the $19.71 is real money. This wasn’t some “here’s five 10-cent spins” kind of thing.
So yes. Hats off to the fine folks at Bally’s. Good idea, great execution, I won’t forget about it.
Unlike, at least thus far, now at 1:58 p.m., my parents. (OK fair’s fair, they both know it’s my birthday, we chatted the other day, but they’ve legit not called yet. I’m sure they’re busy, it’s fine. Really. It’s fine. Don’t spend another second thinking about it. I’m fine. All good. Carry on.)
