Pennsylvania March 2026 internet casino revenue

Online casino revenue in Pennsylvania rocketed up to $189 million in October, improving on September’s $176.7 million and increasing by 22% year-over-year.

These figures are courtesy of the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board, which released the numbers Wednesday morning.

October proved the second best month in Pennsylvania history for total online casino revenue, trailing only March of this year and its state-record $191.1 million.

As usual, Hollywood Casino at Penn National Race Course — which counts BetMGM Casino and DraftKings Casino as partners — led the competition with a $69.4 million iCasino revenue month in October, up from October 2023’s $64.9 million, a 7% year-over-year increase.

However, Valley Forge Casino Resort, which is partnered with FanDuel Casino, saw much larger year-over-year growth. Its revenue came in at $51.9 million, a monstrous 46.6% increase from the same month last year.

Rivers Casino — with flagship online site BetRivers — came in at third place with $33.2 million in revenue, and the other nine operators in the state each came in under $7.6 million in total revenue.

Overall, online slots revenue shot up 28.1% year-over-year, online table revenue a more modest 7.8%, and online poker revenue actually declined year-over-year by nearly 6%.

The totals, in actual dollars and cents: Online slots led the way at $140.9 million in revenue, followed by online table games at $45.9 million. Online poker, a peer-to-peer vertical in which players do not compete against the house, generated a relatively insignificant $2.2 million in revenue.

Today is the day! I’m thrilled to announce the launch of #BetRiversPoker in Pennsylvania.

      Sports betting and more

Sports bettors in Pennsylvania had a much better October this year than last.

Online sports betting handle came in at $858.1 million in October, up from $829 million last October. But revenue sagged to $27.3 million, down from last October’s $48.1 million. That equates to a hold for the sportsbooks last month of just 3.2%.

Total tax revenue across all forms of gambling in Pennsylvania, both online and brick-and-mortar, came in at $209.1 million, on $496.5 million in revenue (which was up 2.81% year-over-year).

The rest of the casino gambling revenue in Pennsylvania was as follows: Retail slots revenue came in at $200.6 million in October, a year-over-year increase of over $8 million; retail table revenue, however, gave up those gains, with a revenue haul of $73.9 million, down from last October’s $81.4 million; video gaming terminals (VGTs) brought in $3.6 million; and fantasy sports took a hit in the Keystone State, with year-over-year revenue dropping 21%, down to $2.1 million.
