It was, as these things go, a December to remember for Michigan’s online casinos. The state’s operators took in gross receipts totaling $315.8 million, according to the Michigan Gaming Control Board.

That number completely and utterly shattered the previous high-water mark of $278.5 million, set in October 2025.

The robust December numbers pushed the yearly haul to nearly $3.09 billion, another record for the state. For comparison, 2024 saw a $2.44 billion year for the operators.

For the month, the operators paid out nearly $62 million to the state in taxes, another $13.8 million to the city of Detroit, and some $8.5 million to the state’s tribes. For the year, those numbers were $597.4 million to the state, $152.6 million to the city, and $71.9 million to the tribes.

      It’s FanDuel’s world

In December, FanDuel continued its recent run of dominance with a $76.9 million month, the seventh straight month the company has been atop the leaderboard. It also marked the highest total the company ever recorded in Michigan.

BetMGM, which used to be top dog in the state, came in second once again with a $67.8 million month. DraftKings regained its hold on third place with $45.4 million. It had lost the bronze in November after paying out a $22 million jackpot on a 20-cent spin on the Huff N’ Even More Puff progressive slot.

Fourth place went to a newcomer. Hard Rock, which launched at the beginning of the month, came in with a whopping $35.7 million, wresting the spot from BetRivers, which earned $22.2 million for the month.

Caesars clawed back up to sixth place, displacing Fanatics by a mere $11,000 and change. Both operators took in roughly $16 million for December.

Rounding out the rest: Golden Nugget was next at $10.3 million, Hollywood Casino had gross receipts of $7.7 million, BetParx came away with $4.7 million, Eagle Casino had $3.5 million, FireKeepers $2.8 million, Horseshoe $2.7 million, PokerStars Casino $2.2 million, and Four Winds $1.8 million.
